Beats & Remixes Vol. 3 Vinyl (2026) Nocturnal Ron LP Record
The Beats and Remixes Volume 3 vinyl. This cover, used for all three volumes, is a photo of the back alley behind my house on the west side of LA just a couple blocks from the West LA courthouse, which was like a second home to me as I skated there from 1987 to 1996. The VA hospital, just one block away, was where a lot of the homeless came from, and over time, they moved into the area. My house, being a duplex, had no front gate, so people would constantly walk in through the front and out through the back alley, at all hours of the day and night. The 405 freeway was right next door, always humming in the background. The pictures inside are a collection of women, because after a while, it wasnt just skaters friends, girlfriends, and acquaintances all started coming through at all hours of the day and night. It became a bit of a nuisance, and thats when I knew I had to move. All of this the gang scenes, the freeway hum, even the New Art Theatre left a deep mark, not just on this album, but on the sound across all three volumes. Remixes featured on this album include Slick Rick, Rome Streetz, Wu-Tang Clan, Nas, Dr. Octagon (aka Kool Keith), and Q-Tip, among others. Please enjoy.
